I had the pleasure of meeting and interviewing D.C. rapper Aye Yo Smiley. Her latest mixtape Call Me Bonita really shows off her quick flow and sweet singing. You can read the full article here.

Call Me Bonita is restless; Alcalde’s flow rolls nearly nonstop, and it’s almost miraculous that she has any breath left to sing. She does that, too, and sweetly — but it’s her rapping that makes the tape.
