Lest We Forget

This is the Roll of Honour, part of the courtyard at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra. On it are the names of every Australian soldier who has died in war since 1885. Visitors can place paper poppies next to a name that has significant meaning to them. If you’re ever inclined to visit Canberra, I highly recommend visiting the War Memorial if not for the history but for the beauty and peacefulness of the memorial itself.
